Report: Brooklyn Nets Sign Former Lakers Big Man

The Los Angeles Lakers are really excited about the new season. They have a revamped roster and things look good at the moment. But, their rivals were pretty busy too. The Brooklyn Nets have just put their hands on a former Lakers big man.

Kevin Durant and his teammates made the NBA Finals last season but couldn’t beat Giannis Antetokounmpo. Game 7 was filled with struggles and the Nets went home with a big L on their forehead. It was a disappointing series for the team but this motivated them to go even harder in the offseason. The franchise signed a bunch of players, including All-Stars.

Shams Charania from The Athletic confirmed that Brooklyn signed Devontae Cacok. The big man will join Nets players in training camp.

“Former Lakers forward Devontae Cacok will sign with the Brooklyn Nets, sources tell The Athletic, Stadium.” Shams tweeted on September 17. “The 6-foot-7 forward will go to training camp and compete for an open two-way spot.”

Nets motivate Lakers to win with their big man

This season will be really interesting and we may see LA and Brooklyn in the NBA Finals. This will be the most interesting series in 2022. The Lakers didn’t waste their time and brought a lot of veterans to the field. Carmelo Anthony is one of them and he is extra motivated to win a ring. This motivation keeps him going and he can’t wait his excitement about the fresh start. The Lakers decided to trust him and offered him a one-year deal. Will this work? Melo will get the chance to play with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

“There’s nothing that I’m trying to prove. If I hadn’t picked L.A., I would have been at peace walking away from the game, knowing that I gave everything I could and I still couldn’t win a championship. I would have been at peace with that. I would have been good,” Anthony said in his appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. “But now that I’m with the Lakers, I can’t be at peace with not winning a championship.”

The same goes for Russell Westbrook. The Lakers got him through a trade and they gave up on three players. Broddie is the right player to join the Lakers, and he will be part of the Big 3.
