Report: LeBron James, Lakers Eyeing Stephen Curry Original Splash Brother

The Los Angeles Lakers have their eyes on a big name and this time it’s someone who can come out of retirement to put on a purple and gold jersey. LeBron James would work really well with this former guard and LA can definitely add more veteran experience to the roster. Monta Ellis seems to be a good fit for LA, but Stephen Curry may not want to see his former Splash Brother playing with King James.

Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka made a big splash in the offseason, signing a few veterans who will contribute to the game. Is Ellis next on the list?

Alder Amo from Empire Media Sports talked to Ellis’ business manager and confirmed the possibility.

“I told [Lakers’ coaching associate Jordan Henriquez-]Roberts that Tae is not big on being a star anymore. He’s been there already,” Nelson told Empire Sports Media. “His [possible] addition can make them one of the best LA Lakers teams to go down in history. With Tae being there, it would be crazy!

“’Derrius, that’s why I’m calling because I know what type of player Monta is. I was a huge fan of him; his [past] works and the time he put in the NBA override a lot of guys that’s been coming to work out because he is reliable,’ Roberts was quoted as saying to Nelson.”

Ellis will be another veteran addition for the Lakers. They already have the oldest roster in the NBA, but players seem to work great on the floor. Building strong chemistry is a must right now, and this will help the team win in the upcoming season. These veterans came to LA to win their rings. Ellis hasn’t played since 2017, but the former guard believes he can offer a lot at this point. He talked about this last month and said that he can play at least five more years. Not bad, huh? LA needs this enthusiasm! Monta would love to join the new-look Lakers team and the superteam would love to see him on the basketball court.
