Richard Jefferson Says LeBron James Is Less Talented Than Former Eight-Time All-Star

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is the most talented basketball player to hit the floor. Most NBA fans would agree that he is the greatest player of all time. The GOAT debate has attracted the attention of many fans and analysts. It revolves around LeBron and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. Add all those who believe that Kevin Durant deserves a spot in the discussion. Now add Richard Jefferson to the mix.

The former NBA player wouldn’t bet on LeBron. He has nothing but words of praise for LeBron and made great memories with him during their time together. Well, here comes the shocker. Jefferson wouldn’t really agree that LeBron is the most gifted player in this world. He would go with Vince Carter.

“I have never seen anything like Vince Carter,” Jefferson said during his appearance on ESPN’s The Jump. “I was fortunate enough to play with LeBron James. But there was nothing that I have ever seen this man not be able to do. Left-hand finishes, left-hand dunks, 360 layups, handle it like a point guard. To me, he is the most talented player I have ever seen in my life.”

LeBron James will always be the most talented player in the NBA

The former NBA player believes that Carter had a better overall game, adding that the legend was more efficient than LeBron.

This makes no sense.  LeBron has better overall stats and won four rings. He is on a good way to win his fifth one. Here’s another catch. Carter and his teams weren’t really able to make the NBA Finals.

There’s more. Jefferson made a few disturbing comments about Anthony Davis, too. The NBA icon said that AD is not a top 5 player. He would rather say Davis is a top 5 talent. We all know that this is “one of the most disrespectful things” in the NBA.

Will LeBron and Davis respond to this? We do know that Lakers superstars don’t pay much attention to outside noise. They are really focused on their season. Jefferson’s comments won’t make a difference at this point.
