Robert Kraft Releases Heartbreaking Statement Following David Patten Death

David Patten died in a tragic collision after his motorcycle hit a sedan, and his death shocked the entire world. He was one of the best wide receivers to play the game, and the New England Patriots had the honor to have him on the field. He was a Patriot from 2001 and 2004.

The Patriots nation lost a legend and the team took to Instagram to deliver a thoughtful message.

Team owner Robert Kraft said he was heartbroken by the terrible news. Patten followed his passion and played his best game. Kraft also said that Patten followed his dreams and “founded his own ministry.” According to the team owner, Patten was an undersized WR who became a “powerful and passionate preacher.”

David Patten shocked the world with his death

Patriots fans will always remember him as the three-time Super Bowl champion who caught the deadliest pass in Super Bowl XXXVI.

“I’ll never forget his remarkable catch in the back of the end zone in that game. It was our only offensive touchdown in the Super Bowl and secured our first championship in franchise history.

The Kraft family sent his “sincerest sympathies” to Patten’s wife, Galiena, his family and those who mourn the untimely death.

Head coach Bill Belichick delivered a similar message. He was heartbroken because Patten died at such a young age. Belichick is more than grateful to have coached the wide receiver. Patten entered history as one of the best receivers. He helped Belichick win a Super Bowl.

“David epitomized the unheralded, self-made player who defied enormous odds to not only earn a job in the NFL but to become a key player on multiple championship teams,” Belichick said. “I can speak for anyone who had the pleasure to be around David that his work ethic, positive energy and character were elite.”

It’s interesting to note that Patten finished his career as a Patriot. His short stint in 2010 was the cherry on top.

Fans will miss the legend and young players will continue his legacy.

We are sending our thoughts and prayers to the family.
