Shannon Sharpe Makes Brutal Cam Newton-Mac Jones Take

Shannon Sharpe has come out with an interesting and rather brutal Cam Newton and Mac Jones take that took us by surprise. The New England Patriots were not able to move once again in the win column against the Saints. In week 3, the Patriots’ offense was not very impressive under the leadership of rookie QB Mac Jones. They will have a lot to work on if they want to make it to the playoffs.

Shannon Sharpe has since come out with some interesting comments on the Cam Newton and Mac Jones debate. He apparently thinks that they would be doing much better with Cam Newton.

“I feel very comfortable in saying had Cam Newton been their starting quarterback, they’d be 3-0,” Sharpe said during another episode of FS1’s “Undisputed” episode. ” … They for sure woulda beat the Dolphins. And they won the last game, they beat the Jets. Hell, everybody’s gonna beat the Jets — that’s not saying anything.:”

” .., How bout this: They’re no worse than 2-1.”

Bill Belichick had different feelings after the game.

“We had some chances, but in the end we just couldn’t get it done,” said Belichick. “It’s disappointing, but there’s no magic sauce here. Just have to go back to work and do better.”

“Today, we were just inconsistent in every area,” Belichick explained. “So we’ve got to just do a better job. [We’ll] go back and look at the film, make some some corrections. Obviously New Orleans is a good defense, but we’ve got to move the ball better than we did today. Play better defense, play better in the kicking game.”

“When you’re behind and you have to throw every down, that’s never a good position to be in,” Belichick said of New England’s altered offensive game plan. “We don’t ever want to be in that situation.”

“Well obviously they’re a good team,” Belichick offered. “Right now we’re just focused on New Orleans, looking at the film and make corrections on that. Then we’ll move on.”

What do you think about what they had to say?
