The Big Offer Jared Dudley Rejected From LeBron James, Lakers to Join Mavs

Jared Dudley has apparently rejected a pretty big offer from LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers to join the Dallas Mavs. The Los Angeles Lakers are set to start the season soon on October 20th. They will be taking on the Golden State Warriors in a California show down.

During the off season, the Lakers were interested in picking up Jared Dudley. They even offered him a big deal that would have been hard to resist. However, Dudley still decided to go to the Dallas Mavs instead of the Lakers. It sounds like he knew what he wanted.

Instead of resigning with the Lakers, Dudley joined as an assistant to Jason Kidd in Dallas.

The Lakers even offered him a front office role but he decided against it. This is pretty interesting but it seems like he would rather be more hands on.

The Lakers are going to be taking the court with a very different look this season. Russell Westbrook joined the team and talked about what it means to him.

“Being from LA, you always wish that you could play for your home team,” Westbrook said. “That’s definitely something that always circled around in my mind. Maybe one day? But I always would come back and be like, ‘Ah, that probably won’t happen.’ I just had to wait and see. But now that we’re here, I’m going to take full advantage of it.”

“LeBron is one of the best players to play this game, and his ability to do everything on the floor allows me to just figure it out,” Westbrook said. “I’m coming to a championship-caliber team, and my job is to make his game easy for him, and I’ll find ways to do that. As it pertains to ball-handling, it really doesn’t matter. There’s many different ways you can impact the game without having the ball in your hands. I’ve been able to do that for a number of years, and we’ll figure it out.”
