The Reason Anthony Davis Was ‘Frustrated’ With Dennis Schroder Revealed

Lakers manager Rob Pelinka confirmed the signing of former Laker Rajon Rondo and players couldn’t be happier. Anthony Davis has at least one good reason to see Rondo come and Dennis Schroder go.

Davis had the opportunity to play with both Rondo and Schroder. Eric Pincus from Bleacher Report wrote that Davis prefers having Rondo on the floor. His dream came true and Rondo is back with the team. Davis got really frustrated with Schroder as he didn’t get what he needed from the veteran.

“Per an NBA source familiar with some of the Lakers’ struggles through the 2020-21 campaign, Davis felt some frustration that he wasn’t getting the kind of looks in the post with Dennis Schroder running the point compared to those he received with Rondo a year earlier.”

The German native made a terrible mistake in the offseason. It will haunt him to the rest of his life. NBA fans can’t really understand why Schroder turned down $84 million just to get $5.9 million.

Anthony Davis prefers Rajon Rondo over Dennis Schroder

The former Lakers guard thought other teams would give him $100 million or more. LA made a good offer, and Schroder would have stayed in LA for at least four years. Well, he wanted more and left the purple and gold in the offseason. Free agents were getting their deals done, but Schroder was still out there, waiting for a good contract. The Boston Celtics are one of the very few teams to make an offer. They couldn’t give him more than a one-year deal.

Former and current NBA players criticized Schroder for making such an ill choice. Well, his wife believes this is the perfect opportunity for Schroder to show his real potential.

AD has another concern at the moment. He has to be 100% healthy in the upcoming season. The big man missed many games due to his injury. The team is prepared for the worst scenario. Russell Westbrook joined the team and he will be the third player behind King James and AD.

Westbrook talked to both superstars to find his spot on the floor. Head coach Frank Vogel has a big challenge for his players and they have to meet his expectations.
