Tom Brady Father Makes Shocking Revelation About QB’s Last Days In New England

Tom Brady left the New England Patriots over a year ago, and his father is still making headlines. TB12 put an end to his long stint with the Patriots, but Tom Brady Sr. says the team wanted to move on from him. Well, Bill Belichick wanted the team to move on from him. That’s what Brady’s dad said in his interview with Tom E. Curran.

“My feeling is that Tommy is extraordinarily appreciative of everything that happened during his New England career, and he’s more than happy than that he’s moved on, because it was pretty obvious that the Patriot regime felt that it was time for him to move on,” Brady Sr. said on NBC Sports Boston’s podcast. “And frankly it may well have been the perfect (time) for Belichick to move on from him. On the other hand, I think the Tampa Bay Bucs are pretty happy that the decision was made in Foxboro that they (couldn’t) afford him or didn’t want to keep him when his last contract came up.”

Tom Brady and his father feel validated

It was a big shift but it was a good one for the Brady family.

“Damn right,” the quarterback’s father said when asked if he felt validated. “Belichick wanted him out the door and last year he threw (50) touchdowns — I think that’s a pretty good year.”

Guess what… The former Patriots quarterback feels the same way.

Brady joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won a Super Bowl in his first season with the team. It was a big success for the 44-year-old and it looks like he will have another excellent season. The Bucs are winning games and Brady Sr. must be proud of his son.

When it comes to Brady’s former team, they are winning games with a rookie quarterback. TB12 and his new team didn’t come to New England last season but they are coming this time. Make sure you don’t miss Week 4 of the 2021 regular season. It’s the most important game of the season.
