Tony Romo Delivers Big Warning to Rest of NFL About Patriots

The New England Patriots cut Cam Newton and will enter the new season with Mac Jones at center. It was a big move for the team and experts made great prediction about the team. Several NFL legends, including Drew Bledsoe, would never give Jones the keys to the offense. Newton was a good option for the team and he was great in the preseason. Well, he is out and Jones will lead the Patriots in the upcoming season. Going after a rookie is not a big deal. That’s what some coaches say. Tony Romo has a warning for those who doubt the Patriots.

“I’m convinced the Patriots are for real. No one’s gonna want to play them,” Romo said during an NFL on CBS media call.

Tony Romo made the right warning about the Patriots

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback has a few good reasons to say this. He knows how things work in the NFL. Romo would never ignore the new-look Patriots.

Fans would understand this. Head coach Bill Belichick built a strong roster. He is so confident about his 53-man roster that he gave Jones the biggest role on the offense. Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry will play at tight end. They are two of the best tight ends in the NFL.

The receiving group is equally successful. Belichick had six running backs and he let Sony Michel go. Damien Harris was brilliant in 2020 and he will have another brilliant season with the team. The Patriots defense is awesome and Jones is an incredible young player. Belichick has pretty much everything he needs to enter the new season.

The Patriots finished the 2020 season with a losing record, and it won’t happen again. This roster is one of the strongest rosters in the NFL. Teams should be careful about the 2021 Patriots and we can’t wait to see Jones in Week 4. He has to do his best to help his team beat Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It will be a big game for every player on the roster.
