Watch: LeBron James Rocking No. 6 Lakers Jersey

The Los Angeles Lakers are entering another long season. The front office signed a bunch of great players. Most of them are veterans and the new players have already confirmed their jersey numbers. LeBron James posed with his new jersey, and fans are super excited.

It’s interesting to note that LeBron will go back to No.6. He had No.23 in each of the three seasons with the Lakers. It’s time for a change, and LeBron made a move.

It’s the number LeBron had with the Miami Heat. He wasn’t able to wear this this number because it was previously worn by Michael Jordan. The team had retired the number and LeBron had to make a different pick. No.6 was a good option back then and this number helped him win games. It was like an opportunity for the fresh start and the king went on winning two titles with the Big 3 in Miami.

Things changed when he returned to Cleveland for his second stint. He went back to No.23. It was time to move again and LeBron wore No.23 with the Los Angeles Lakers. He wanted to change his number once again when Anthony Davis joined the franchise. However, his contract with Nike put an end to this plan.

LeBron James picked a jersey for the win

In the 2021-22 NBA season, LeBron will wear his No.6 jersey. AD will keep his number as well.

Maybe No.6 stands for six rings. LeBron is on to winning his fifth championship and he has plenty of time to get ready for a sixth title. The Lakers want to keep him around for a long time and he has so much left in the tank. LeBron doesn’t even think of retiring at this point of his NBA career, and we can see him win a lot of games by the end of his basketball career.

The Lakers have Russell Westbrook, Kendruck Nunn, Malik Monk, Trevor Ariza, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony and other talented veterans on the roster. These players will join forces next season. That’s why they signed with the team. Rajon Rondo is also back and AD celebrated his return. They worked really well together.
