Zion Williamson Delivers Message to LeBron James

Zion Williamson grew up watching LeBron James win games and he is definitely a fan. The young star would really want to see LeBron in the 99 club. Williamson talked about this during his interview with Taylor Rooks from Bleacher Report.

“Off respect, and what he’s done for the game, I’ll give LeBron a 99,” he said. “What he’s done for the game, nobody else has done, so I’ll give respect where it’s due.”

If you ask the young player, he would definitely say that LeBron and Kevin Durant should get their 99s in NBA 2K22. Of course, that’s a bit higher than LeBron’s 96 score.

LeBron was among the first to praise Williamson. He talked about the young player right after the rookie joined the NBA. The four-time NBA champion met a strong class last season, but Williamson caught his attention.

“You have to actually be out on the floor to actually feel the strength and the speed that he plays at,” LeBron said of the rookie. “It’s a hell of a rookie class, I’ll tell you that. These kids are special.”

Zion Williamson enjoys full support from LeBron James

Talking to young players of opposing teams is considered a “sign of weakness.” Well, LeBron wouldn’t agree on this one. He respects strong opponents regardless of their age and background.

“Anybody that says that, ‘LeBron, why would he do that while he’s playing? It’s a sign of weakness. … He’s buddy-buddy with the guys he’s going against.’ Tell them to kiss my a**,” LeBron added. “All right? With a smile, too. Appreciate it.”

We can definitely understand this. LeBron is the best basketball player of all time. He recognizes great player every time he sees one. Williamson is definitely an excellent player and LeBron wasn’t wrong about him.

Williamson has a really good chance to follow LeBron’s footsteps. He’s got talent, skills, and pretty much everything a player needs to play elite basketball and win rings. LeBron will be in the first row watching him win games. Williamson will be here to put up a good show.
