Angry Brandin Cooks Tweet Has Patriots Fans Craving Receiver Reunion

The Houston Texans decided to ship Mark Ingram to New Orleans and a lot of players voiced their frustration. Houston has a 1-6 record at this point of the regular season. Getting rid of some of the veterans seemed like a reasonable solution to the problem. Well, Brandin Cooks is not happy with Ingram’s trade and fans are now hoping for a New England Patriots reunion.

The Texas wideout took to his Twitter account to speak his mind on Houston’s decision to move on from Ingram. His tweet was a bit harsh and his choice of words was a bit… interesting.

Houston is dealing with a lot of problems right now. They consider Cooks to be a leader. He has a key role on their roster. However, we can definitely understand Cooks. His frustration makes perfect sense. Let’s not forget that Cooks and Ingram are really close. Houston got rid of their starting running back and NFL analysts believe they will trade franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson. Defensive leader Zach Cunningham is about to leave the team, too.

Brandin Cooks looking forward to Patriots reunion?

We have at least one good reason to believe that Cooks is one of the best trade chips for the Texans. He is only owed $1.5 million for the remainder of the season as confirmed by ESPN’s Field Yates. When asked about his potential trade, Cooks said “it’s a business.” Everyone is trying to do their best and Cooks knows that some decisions are “out of your control.”

This added fuel to the fire and Patriots fans are looking forward to a reunion with Bill Belichick’s team. Cooks had a good season with the Patriots in 2017. He recorded 65 catches for 1,082 yards and seven touchdowns. The Patriots traded him to the Los Angeles Rams and he ended up playing with the Texans. Houston likes his performance and they could really use his stats. Well, Cooks would look really good in New England, too. Maybe head coach Bill Belichick will take this into consideration.
