Anthony Davis Gives Hilarious Update on Russell Westbrook

Anthony Davis has come out with a hilarious update on his teammate Russell Westbrook. Russell Westbrook did not have a good game and debut against the Golden State Warriors. In fact, he looked pretty terrible and it was similar to what we saw in the preseason. Westbrook came into the year excited about this journey.

“Being from LA, you always wish that you could play for your home team,” Westbrook said. “That’s definitely something that always circled around in my mind. Maybe one day? But I always would come back and be like, ‘Ah, that probably won’t happen.’ I just had to wait and see. But now that we’re here, I’m going to take full advantage of it.”

“LeBron is one of the best players to play this game, and his ability to do everything on the floor allows me to just figure it out,” Westbrook said. “I’m coming to a championship-caliber team, and my job is to make his game easy for him, and I’ll find ways to do that. As it pertains to ball-handling, it really doesn’t matter. There’s many different ways you can impact the game without having the ball in your hands. I’ve been able to do that for a number of years, and we’ll figure it out.”

Now Anthony Davis has come out with a funny update on his teammate Westbrook.

“He was himself. … Talking shit to everybody and all that. He was his normal self.” said Davis.

Well, it sounds like Westbrook is doing okay mentally. This is a positve after having a poor performance. Hopefully he is able to continue it. Vogel also talked about Westbrook’s performance.

“[Westbrook played] pretty good. We didn’t get him involved enough, and that’s on me. We continue to look at situations to make him useful and not pull away from what [Anthony Davis] and [LeBron James] are doing. Those guys obviously got going, but I didn’t do a good enough job getting Russ going, and that’s an easy fix. Something that we’re familiar with and keep looking at every day and get a little more comfortable with it.”
