Brian Hoyer Has Piece of Advice For QB Mac Jones

Brian Hoyer has come out with some advice for rookie Patriots QB Mac Jones. The Patriots are coming off of a big win against the New York Jets in which they finally showed up in a big way. They were able to win the game 54-12, showing people that they are able to have some weapons to play around with. The Patriots are now looking to continue the winning streak.

Mac Jones has been leading the Patriots thus far this season. Former QB Kurt Warner had some interesting things to say about the young Jones.

“There’s some things that I really, really like that I’m seeing from Mac Jones that lets me know this guy is going to be a good quality starter in this league for a long time,” Warner said. “The one question will be: Will he be a championship-type quarterback? And if he is, what will that look like? Where does he make the game-changing plays for his team.”

Now Brian Hoyer also has some things to say about Mac Jones. In fact, he has a little bit of advice for the youngster.

Hoyer said “Dude, you got to smile sometimes. This is supposed to be fun!”

This is pretty good advice for Jones, who might be taking on a little too much from Bill Belichick. Belichick has also been complimentary of Jones.

“Mac gave it to us all day,” Belichick said. “I thought we moved the ball. I thought he made a lot of good decisions. There were some checks that he had to make that he made throughout the day, but really the last drive was a third down conversion to Hunter [Henry] and then we had a couple good runs in there. But yeah, Mac’s been good for us all year in terms of his leadership, his resilience, and kind of always counting on him to do the right thing, and you know, he really does it at a high level, so it’s been impressive.”

It sounds like he is getting some good praise around the link.
