Dwight Howard Shares That LeBron James Told Him he Can Take Single 3-Point Shot if he Records 2 Blocks in Games

Dwight Howard has come out with a story that LeBron James told him he can take a single 3 point shot if he records to blocks in one game.

The Lost Angeles Lakers are set to get their season started off against the Golden State Warriors on October 20th. There are a few key differences between the team that ended the season last year to now. Most notably, the addition of Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook.

But aside from that, this story from Dwight Howard and LeBron James is great. This is pretty funny stuff. It seems like a goal that he should try to reach without taking the prize. Howard is definitely not known for his 3 point shooting ability. He is, however, known for his ability to block shots and rebound.

“LeBron said if I get two blocks, I can get a 3-pointer,” Howard said. “I’m finna try to get nine blocks everyday.”

This is great stuff from Howard. It seems like he took it to heart which is how it was meant to be.

But now the Lakers need to focus on the season ahead of them. Russell Westbrook recently came out with some of his thoughts on joining the Lakers.

“LeBron is one of the best players to play this game, and his ability to do everything on the floor allows me to just figure it out,” Westbrook said. “I’m coming to a championship-caliber team, and my job is to make his game easy for him, and I’ll find ways to do that. As it pertains to ball-handling, it really doesn’t matter. There’s many different ways you can impact the game without having the ball in your hands. I’ve been able to do that for a number of years, and we’ll figure it out.”

“Anytime you have three great players like this, there is an element of sacrifice required, and we’ve all talked about that and are all-in on that,” Vogel said. “But these three guys can do it all. They’re all make-the-right-play players. It’s not just about scoring or being a one-dimensional player. They can all do it all. I’m most excited about seeing what the three of them on the court at the same time looks like.”
