It seems like General Manager Rob Pelinka did a really good job in the offseason. Bringing all those veterans in Los Angeles was an excellent decision. Dwight Howard joined the Los Angeles Lakers for a reason and his stat line is now viral.

We all know that the big man came for his ring. Howard had a key role inside the NBA bubble in Orlando but Lakers players weren’t honored with a parade. The pandemic, remember? So, Howard wanted a piece of the cake and he re-signed with the team. He joined an excellent group of players.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel had a complex scheme for the game and Howard got 13 minutes on the basketball court. He did try to get the best of his playing time. The Lakers veteran finished the night with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 6 personal fouls, 1 technical foul, 1 flagrant foul, and 1 disqualification.

What can we say… Howard came to win and he is definitely winning. The Lakers will need to see more of this numbers later in the regular season. Pelinka signed a great group of veterans and these guys seem to have found a mutual language. Most of them are at the end of their NBA careers and that adds more motivation to the game.

Howard is an incredible player and he is a good fit for the team. LeBron James likes the idea of having him back on the floor. Howard will be of great help for the team.

When it comes to the other veterans, Russell Westbrook is the most notable offseason addition. The former Washington Wizards veteran came to LA to win his very first championship. Howard and the rest of the veterans will make sure it happens.
