Insider Reveals the Laker’s Potential Starting Lineup

An NBA insider has revealed the Laker’s potential starting lineup for their opening game against the Golden State Warriors. The Lakers are set to start their season after a long off season that included some ups and downs. A lot of it was filled with some surprising signings, including Russell Westbrook. It will be interesting to see how this team can mesh together as it looked like they were struggling a bit in the preseason.

Now there are some questions regarding the potential starting lineup. Though there are some injuries in play, here is what Broderick Turner, an LA insider has projected.

C- DeAndre Jordan, Dwight Howard, Jay Huff (two-way)
PF- Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony, Sekou Doumbouya (two-way)
SF- LeBron James, Talen Horton-Tucker, Trevor Ariza
SG- Kent Bazemore, Wayne Ellington, Malik Monk, Avery Bradley, Austin Reaves
PG- Russell Westbrook, Kendrick Nunn, Rajon Rondo

Carmelo Anthony, another signing of the Lakers in the off season, talked about what his role is on the team.

“You just gotta adapt, you gotta just be willing to adapt,” Anthony explained recently at a press conference. “I think by [the] time game one is here, we would know, like I would know, everybody would kind of [know] what their situation is, what their role is. But right now, we’re just playing. I don’t know. I know what I have to do. Sure, I know whether I’m starting, coming [off the bench], I know what I have to do.”

Head coach Frank Vogel also detailed some of the lineup questions.

“We’ll have conversations, both with the coaching staff, the front office and with our captains, and see what everybody is feeling about it,” Vogel said recently. “Obviously they’re two really good, more than two really good situations for how we build our starting lineup, and we feel good about all of them. It’s just about what we’re going to land on.”

Obviously, all of this is just projections and does not actually have any real impact on the team going forward. But it is interesting to see what the team might do and what they have to work with this season.
