Julian Edelman Has Brutally Honest Admission On Patriots

The New England Patriots have a 2-4 record at this point of the regular season. Things are a bit scary but the team has great plans for the upcoming games. Head coach Bill Belichick has his way of doing things. Former wideout Julian Edelman has something to say about the Patriots and many people would agree with him on this one. Some wouldn’t.

The 2018 Super Bowl MVP appeared on Inside the NFL and talked about the team’s struggles. According to him, the team has to do better. Why did he say that the “Patriots just aren’t the Patriots right now?” This was a bit harsh. Well, let’s see if Patriots players will respond to this.

Julian Edelman would love to see more from the Patriots

Edelman knows that a lot of people won’t agree with him. He felt really bad but we can’t ignore the struggles.

“The Patriots just aren’t the Patriots right now, and it hurts me to say this. They are not the Patriots,” Edelman said. “We are so used to seeing the last 20 years  — and I know there’s different players, and this, that, but there’s still a group of guys in there that know how they should play.

“They need to start playing mistake-free football. They’ve had a handful of plays this year where they if they would have went their way, if they would have taken care of the football, if they didn’t get two blocked punts — hasn’t been done since ’93 in New England), if they would have not thrown an interception, if the linemen didn’t let the quarterback have guys running at him free … . I’m a little venting right now.”

This will probably motivate guys to try harder and repair the damage. Everyone made mistakes and maybe they just need time to make everything work.

Rookie Mac Jones is a great guy and the same goes to his teammates. They all want to win. Edelman wants the best for his team. He will be Patriot for life. Hopefully, the guys will get the message.
