LeBron James Releases Statement on Anthony Davis-Dwight Howard Altercation

LeBron James has released a statement on the Anthony Davis-Dwight Howard altercation. The Lakers have not looked good so far this season and they did not look very good in the preseason either. It is a bit distressing to see them play so badly given the talent they have on the roster. With the pick up of Russell Westbrook, the Lakers should be vibing. But they are not, sadly.

Now, there are bigger issues. Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard are now apparently struggling on the bench. They talked about it after the game.

“Oh, yeah. We squashed it right then and there,” said Howard during the Lakers postgame press conference. “We just had a disagreement about something that was on the floor. We’re both very passionate about winning. We didn’t wanna lose this game.”

“We’re grown men. Things happen. But we already talked. Squashed it. There’s no issue between me and him. That’s my brother. That’s what I told him. … We’re good. We squashed it. There’s no need to try to try to make it bigger than something else,” continued Dwight Howard.

Now LeBron has chimed in.

“I don’t think it’s a lot of frustration,” claimed the Lakers star. “We really don’t. I think there’s moments when you’re frustrated because you wanna be better. You want better communication .. But I think it gets overly blown when you lose a game and you have some techs here, and you see an altercation. And you start to saying well with these guys, ultimately, the whole thing is frustration.”

“We’re competitors. If you don’t get mad at certain things on the floor that you feel I should’ve done better, then what are you here for? We like that as a ball club. We like the adversity. I like the adversity and I like it even more when two men in a team can come together and talk about it and move on. That’s what real men do. You don’t let it linger. We say what you gotta say. You talk about it and move on. That’s what we did tonight.”
