LeBron James and millions of people worldwide watched Squid Game. The Netflix show caught the attention of pretty much every person on this planet. It’s everywhere… People make cookies, videos, games… Well, LeBron is here to criticize the show. It’s not like he criticized the entire show. He didn’t like the ending.
The show ends with the main character electing not to go back to his daughter after winning the deadly contest. LeBron is family guy and he would definitely pick a different ending. He joined Anthony Davis during a postgame press conference to talk about the show.
Hwang Dong-hyuk heard all the comments LeBron made and his reaction makes us believe that he took it personally. The creator came up with the main idea in 2008 but no one wanted to invest in the project until 2019. His reaction to LeBron’s comments was a bit harsh.
LeBron James to make Squid Game sequel?
Dong-hyuk likes the fact that LeBron watched the series. However, he would never change the ending. That’s not all. He also encouraged LeBron to do his own sequel and change the ending. There’s more. Dong-hyuk said he will “check it out and maybe send him a message saying, ‘I liked your whole show, except the ending.’” Ouch!
LeBron read this and fired back. Sort of. He couldn’t believe that Dong-hyuk would take things personally. The creator decided to take a shot at the four-time NBA champion and we have at least one good reason to believe that the whole thing won’t end in the near future.
The Lakers superstar won’t really waste his time discussing a Netflix show. He is focused on his season and his team. Los Angeles won two games so far and they will try to keep winning. King James missed the game against the San Antonio Spurs due to an injury and he may miss another game. He is dealing with ankle soreness, but the situation is not too serious. LeBron is averaging 26.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game. Great numbers, huh? He is the king after all.
