Mac Jones Gives Surprising Take On Patriots Worrisome Quarterback Hit Trend

The New England Patriots lost the match to Tom Brady. There were several major mistakes during the game and head coach Bill Belichick will be super busy in the next few games. Patriots players will be watching a lot of film in an effort to avoid similar catastrophe. This game wasn’t that bad and the Patriots signal-caller was brilliant. However, Mac Jones has something to say about the Patriots quarterback hit trend.

This was probably triggered last night. The first rounded ended up on the field on 12 occasions. This may soon become a problem for the young quarterback. Of course, Jones is an optimist and he understands the situation.

Mac Jones is not bothered with the Patriots quarterback trend

If you ask the rookie, he will just say that quarterbacks should roll with the punches and adjust themselves to the situation. A good point, huh?

“I think it’s just part of the game,” the Patriots rookie said. “Like backyard football, you’re going to get hit. That’s kind of the fun part of it. You just roll with the punches and get up. And a lot of the stuff — I always say this, and I’m not saying it just to say it, but I can do a better job of whether it’s moving or getting the ball out or just committing to the throw, whatever the throw may be. Just learning from those hits.

“The offensive line played well — actually, really good. Of course you’re going to get hit sometimes when a team’s going to pressure more, and you’ve just got to roll with the punches.”

The Patriots rookie had a lot of challenges last night but he was spectacular in the game against the greatest quarterback of all time. Tom Brady and his new team came to New England to beat the Patriots and they actually did. The Patriots finished the night with a loss but pretty much every analyst recognized Jones’ true potential. He looks like someone who can start off a new era in New England. Is he their franchise quarterback? Absolutely!
