Mac Jones Sounds Off on New England’s Offense This Season

Mac Jones has given his thoughts on the New England Patriots offense this season. It is clear that the Patriots have quite a bit of stuff to work on. The team as a whole is missing a piece that has yet to be identified. But one this is clear, the Patriots offense has some things to work on. The defense has played pretty well this season, even with a few missing players. But the offense has been on wheels a bit too many times.

At the helm of the offense is rookie QB Mac Jones. He has been pretty good through 5 games this season but it is clear that he has some things that he needs to work on going forward. As a rookie, he is not really expected to be perfect. But he is still expected to lead the offense. Can he do it? We will have to wait and see. Some people have been wondering if they will resign Cam Newton.

Now, Mac Jones has come out with some interesting things to say about the offense as a whole this season.

Mac Jones Sounds Off on New England’s Offense This Season

“I’d say just sticking to my reads and following what they’re telling me to do,” Jones said. “It’s not that I don’t know what to do. It’s just, sometimes, I might skip something or see something. I just need to stick to what I’ve been taught and do it and just play.

“At the end of the day, you can’t go out there and have sticky fingers.”

“I think, going back to when I was little, that’s something that I’ve always enjoyed doing,” Jones said. “When you have a good run game and have an offensive line like we do, you can create the movement and they step up, or don’t and you just have to find the windows.

“I’ve got to do better at everything, and that’s an area I’ve put a lot of stress on, and everybody on our team does a good job with it, so I’ve just got to keep improving and finding ways to get guys the ball.”
