Patriots ‘Could Make a Move’ at the Trade Deadline For Massive Lineman

The New England Patriots aren’t done making changes. The team is expected to pull out a few more moves throughout the regular season. According to recent reports, the Patriots are open for a trade. This time they are going after a big lineman.

Patriots to get the best of the trade

Enter Philadelphia Eagles Andre Dillard. Brian M. Hines from Pat’s Pulput has something to say about the big man.

“Looking at tackles that could be available, Philadelphia’s Andre Dillard is a name that comes to mind. The Eagles traded up to select Dillard in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, but their seventh round pick from 2018, Jordan Mailata, recently inked a four-year, $64 million extension to play left tackle. During Lane Johnson absence the past few weeks, Mailata moved to right tackle while Dillard slid back into the lineup to protect Jalen Hurts’ blindside.

“Dillard impressed while filling in, allowing zero pressures on 199 snaps, but with Johnson back in the mix, Philadelphia could look to sell high on their former first round pick. With at least one-year remaining of team control, the Eagles will need a strong offer to consider moving him. If the Patriots view offensive tackle as a serious issue, they could make a move for Dillard, who also has been practicing at guard.”

New England looks good at this point of the regular season. They have won a few games, but there’s still room from improvement. Head coach Bill Belichick may consider making some moves in the offensive line. His linemen had some struggles.

Trent Brown deals with calf injury. Other players didn’t get the best of their game. Let’s see how will things go for the Patriots roster.

Patriots players work well on both ends of the ball. The offense helped the team win games, and the defense kept opponents away from the ball. They entered the regular season with a loss, but rookie quarterback Mac Jones was able to lead his team to a better performance in the following games. They lost the match to Tom Brady’s team. It was a big motivation for the team.
