Report: Bill Belichick Has 3 Rules For His Players

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is a man who lives by the rules, and according to former NFL cornerback Aqib Talin, coach B has three big rules.

Talib and Kevin Clark discussed several important topics, including Job Gruden, Belichick’s system, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Sean McVay. It was an interesting conversation and Talib shared his thoughts on the biggest topics these days.

“He keeps the main thing, which is football, the main thing more than any other coach,” Talib said on “Slow News Day” with Kevin Clark, via Bobby Krivitsky.

  1. Be on time
  2. Don’t play around with the media
  3. Know your stuff

Bill Belichick wants players to follow his rules

We can definitely understand this. Belichick is someone who loves his job and he wants players to embrace similar approach. The Patriots head coach wants everyone to take things seriously, and he doesn’t like when others mess around. Being on time is of utmost importance. Professionals are never late. Being late is the ultimate disrespect for the job and the team players signed with.

When it comes to the media part, we all know how Belichick treats stupid questions. He never answers questions out of the topic and doesn’t like when reporters try to get into his private life. Yes, some questions are too juicy for the legendary head coach. Every time reporters want to know more about topics that are in no way related to the upcoming game on the Patriots’ schedule, Belichick just says he is on to the respective team. Get the point, right? The same goes to his players. They don’t talk about their private life and don’t reveal too many details about the team. Belichick keeps everything under control. Patriots coaches have a complex system and their tactics is always a surprise. Some players don’t fit in this system, but that’s just how Belichick does things. Other coaches have tried to follow his example. It didn’t work.
