Report: LeBron James, Lakers Could Get Valuable Piece Back Soon

The Los Angeles Lakers played games without some of their key players. LeBron James was out for a couple of weeks. Wayne Ellington, Trevor Ariza, Kendrick Nunn, Talen Horton-Tucker… The team missed some of the key contributors in the last few games, but players were able to win three games so far. Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook were leading the way. Well, LeBron and his team may get a valuable piece back.

NBA analysts voiced their concern about the game, but Frank Vogel and his team did a good job. Of course, they lost games they shouldn’t have lost. Their win over the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers were really refreshing. Truth is, LeBron’s injury gave everyone a big scare. Losing him to an injury was a real nightmare. He missed 26 games last season and he almost suffered similar injury. In fact, he injured the same ankle, but in a different spot.

LeBron and his teammates to get a valuable piece back on the floor

Avery Bradley and Austin Reeves got a chance to show off their skills. LA did a decent job on the basketball court. But, there’s some great news. Wayne Ellington is working his way back to the floor and fans are super excited. Vogel needs his sharpshooter at the moment. LeBron and AD could use his excellence during games. According to recent reports, Ellington has been “cleared for activity.” Good news, right?

“We’d like to get him in a couple of our practices before we throw him into a game. Not sure when that’s going to happen, but I don’t plan on using him tonight,” Vogel said at shootaround before the teams win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Lakers entered the regular season as contenders and they sent a big warning to the rest of the NBA. Although Rob Pelinka brought several veterans to LA, many would agree that the team looks amazing on the floor. Of course, those injuries were a bit scary. Let’s see what happens in the next few games. This season is really important for the team.
