Watch: David Andrews Deliver Pregame Speech To Patchwork Patriots O-Line

David Andrews has delivered a pretty impressive pregame speech to a Patriots offensive line that was a bit of a patchwork job. The Patriots are looking to get their season back on track. The offensive has not been super impressive thus far in the NFL season. They are being led by rookie QB Mac Jones who has, well, looked like a rookie. But they are now coming off a win against the Houston Texans.

But now, David Andrews has given a pretty cool pregame speech.

“I’ve been fortunate to be around this game for 23 years of my life,” Andrews said. “And, by God, I’m blessed to be out here every Sunday — so are we. Let me tell you something else: Success is where preparation meets opportunity.

“Now we put in the work, right? Now we got the opportunity, it’s staring us in our (expletive) face. We gotta go take that (expletive) though, it’s not going to be given today. Go take that (expletive) today. Let’s go.”

Bill Belichick was pleased with the play he saw on the field. He talked a bit about Mac Jones and his play after the game.

“Mac gave it to us all day,” Belichick told reporters postgame. “I thought we moved the ball. I thought he made a lot of good decisions. There were some checks that he had to make that he made throughout the day, but really the last drive was a third down conversion to Hunter [Henry] and then we had a couple good runs in there. But yeah, Mac’s been good for us all year in terms of his leadership, his resilience, and kind of always counting on him to do the right thing, and you know, he really does it at a high level, so it’s been impressive.”

“It wasn’t perfect,” Belichick acknowledged, “but we battled and played better situational football than we have in some of the other games.”

“Got to give a lot of credit to Josh [McDaniels], offensive coaches, offensive line,” said Belichick. “Those guys did a really good job of hanging in there. I thought they really went about the challenge this week of replacing some good players in that group. I thought they played hard. We got some runs to balance off the game there.”
