Anthony Davis Sounds Off on Lakers Struggles

The Los Angeles Lakers let Alex Caruso go to the Chicago Bulls and now they are losing games against the team. It was a bad loss for LA and the Bulls took advantage of the 20-point lead. The team is already without some of the key players, including LeBron James. It can get even uglier in the next period and Anthony Davis decided to address the Lakers gameplan and the struggles his team had. If you ask him, Davis will say his team sucks. Simple as that.

The Lakers big man is disappointed by the defense and the fact that his teammates aren’t scoring.

“We suck,” Davis said. “No defense, can’t score. That’s not this third quarter. Every third quarter that we’ve played this season we come out slow, lackadaisical offensively and defensively. We got to get it together. Why? I can’t tell you. But we have to do a better job. We scored 12 points in the third quarter. They scored 40. That’s the game right there. We got to do a better job coming out in the third. Championship team? That’s not us right now. We’re not winning a championship the way we’re playing. We got to be better, and we got to care more for our wins at home, wins in general. That was embarrassing.”

That’s not the worst part of the game. AD earned a couple of technical fouls and an ejection. He led the team in scoring with 20 points on six-of-nine shooting before his ejection. This was his second ejection in his long career.

Anthony Davis, Lakers players to get over their struggles

Davis played well and so did his teammates. However, they couldn’t neutralize the Bulls. Russell Westbrook finished the night with 25 points, eight assists, and six rebounds. Talen Horton-Tucker was impressive as he stacked 28 points and six rebounds. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel will need to see more of this in the next few games.

LA is in and out all the time. They need to be more consistent. And healthy, of course. Let’s see what happens in the game against the Milwaukee Bucks
