LeBron James knows that players have to stay healthy to finish the season with success. The Los Angeles Lakers have a lot of veterans on the roster. Suffering a severe injury can easily change the course of the regular season. LeBron missed a couple of games and hopefully, he won’t miss other games later in the regular season. Lakers veterans have to stay healthy to accomplish all the great things on the basketball. The same goes to Anthony Davis and the team has provided an update on his health condition.
The Lakers big man had incredible performance in the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, he sustained an injury in the final moments of the half. Fans were a bit worried about his availability for Saturday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers. They have a reason to be worried. AD and LeBron missed a lot of games this past season, leaving the team at the very bottom of the Western Conference.
Frank Vogel discusses Anthony Davis, provides promising update
Injuries are always scary, but Davis feels good enough to do. Will head coach Frank Vogel consider adding him to the lineup tomorrow?
Vogel said it was “just a sprained thumb.” Of course, Davis is questionable for the game against the Blazers, but Vogel couldn’t provide anything more than that.
AD suffered his injury while battling for a loose ball at the end of the first half. His thumb got pulled backwards during a collision and the big man quickly pulled his hand towards his chest. He was in pain and sat on the bench. Davis didn’t join his teammates at the beginning of the second half. Veteran Carmelo Anthony started in his place. It was just a brief change as AD returned to the floor in the third quarter. He had a wrap on his right hand.
The big man couldn’t move his thumb at first, but he is fine now. There’s no room for panic now and LA is good to go against the Blazers. The team has lost the match to the Thunder and they will try not to lose this one too.
