Bill Belichick Fires Back At Stephon Gilmore, Refutes Ex-Patriot’s Claims

Bill Belichick has fired back at Stephon Gilmore and refutes the ex Patriot’s claims after the game. The Patriots are coming off of a big win against the Carolina Panthers. They were dominant and have now won three games in a row. This is a huge difference compared to how they started the season. Bill Belichick has gotten this team where they need to be and it is showing on the field. The offense, under rookie QB Mac Jones, has been much improved since the start of the year.

But Stephon Gilmore is not a fan of the Patriots, at least that is what he said. He did not agree with how the Patriots handled his injury.

“I wasn’t ready at the beginning of training camp,” Gilmore said before the game this weekend. “I’ll be completely honest with you. But the only thing is I just didn’t like how they handled my situation with my injury. A lot went on with that that I didn’t agree with. And now that I’m here (in Carolina), I’m able to do the things that I have to do to get me back ready to where I need to be.

“I learned a lot (in New England), got a lot of friends there, lot of great coaches. We just didn’t like how they handled my situation with my injury.”

“I don’t want to get into specifics,” he said. “We just didn’t agree with it. I’ll just put it behind me and get ready for this game.”

“Surprised to hear him say that because we had several meetings and laid out a plan on how he would rehab once he came back to training camp,” Belichick said this morning. “Of course, he wasn’t here all spring. We really didn’t have any idea where he was. But, when he came back we had several meetings and talked about that. You’d have to ask him.”

It is pretty interesting to see Gilmore’s comments on his time on the Patriots. Bill Belichick also did not mince words with what he thought about what Gilmore said.
