Brian Burns Has a Threatening Message for Mac Jones Following Their Controversial Encounter

Brian Burns has a pretty threatening message for Mac Jones after the controversial play that happened last Sunday. The New England Patriots are flying high into week 10 of the NFL season. It has been very impressive to see how they were able to bounce back after a few early losses to start the season. As one would expect, rookie QB Mac Jones started off the season pretty slow. He failed to impress and the offensive looked pretty stagnant.

But he has bounced back in a big way throughout the season. The Patriots now have a record of 5-4 and are right there in it to win a less than stellar division. There was a lot of good about the Patriots game against the Panthers last Sunday. There was a play that has been talked about a lot. There was a play that looked kind of like Mac Jones purposely injured a Panther player.

However, there were some camera angles that made it clear that Jones thought he had the ball. Whatever the case, Brian Burns was not happy about the play and called on his defensive brothers to basically hunt Mac Jones down. Pretty sad stuff by Burns here.

“It would be nice to have an apology, but it’s not going to happen,” Burns said. “However the NFL handles it, it’s on them. I would just like to play them again.”

“I wish all my fellow D-end brothers happy hunting. That’s all.”

Mac Jones also commented on the play. It sounds like he is over the whole ordeal.

“I already addressed that situation,” Jones said. “I’m just looking forward to playing in this game with the guys we have on our team this week. So we’re already kind of moving forward and ready to play this week.”

The Patriots will need to look ahead to the next game without thinking too much about the last week. It is an unfortunate situation for Brian Burns and it is understandable how he thinks this was done on purpose. In reality, no one knows the truth besides Mac Jones and it is likely he will never give the whole truth.
