Ian Rapoport Fuels Patriots Odell Beckham Jr. Rumors With Latest Report

The New England Patriots can easily add a valuable wide receiver to their roster. Julian Edelman is out and head coach Bill Belichick may try to get a star at this point. Let’s not forget that the Patriots have a few injured players on the roster. Odell Beckham Jr. has been linked to Belichick’s Patriots and it looks like the team has already contacted Odell’s representatives.

Jeff Howe from The Athletic was among the first to report the news. Beckham will become a free agent after agreeing to a restructured contract with the Cleveland Browns. This deal grants his release and Beckham has a chance to go somewhere else. How far will the Patriots go to get the talented receiver? We know that Belichick is not someone who’d pay a lot of money to get any player.

Howe explained that the conversation between the Patriots and Beckham’s camp is on the explanatory level. Several teams have shown interest in the receiver, including the New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and Kansas City Chiefs. Beckham will try to get the best of these options.

Enter Ian Rapoport.

Odell Beckham won’t join the Patriots?

Rapoport added fuel to the fire on Wednesday morning. He said that the Patriots are one of the teams to go after Beckham in the upcoming period.

“The Patriots are always interested in upgrading,” Rapoport said. “There’s been a, let’s say, long love affair between Odell Beckham and Bill Belichick — from afar.”

Of course, Beckham will have to play smart with this one.

Dianna Russini has an update on the whole situation, suggesting that the Browns receiver is “honing in on” the Chiefs, Packers, and Saints. Does this mean the Patriots are out of the game?

Belichick is also someone who’d go after players he wants. Does he want Beckham? We will have to wait and see what happens in the whole Beckham situation.

Beckham is an incredible player and he will sure be the No.1 receiver in New England. Patriots receivers and tight ends didn’t do much in the latest game. Mac Jones was targeting receivers and this trend may continue in the next few weeks too.
