Lakers Make Major Change on LeBron James Abdominal Injury Status
The Lakers have made a major change on LeBron James and his abdominal injury status. The Lakers are coming off yet another disappointing loss. They failed to get it done against the Minnesota Timberwolves in a game that they should have easily won. The talent on this roster is one of the best in the NBA. But right now, they are not playing like they have the talent to win the games. Russell Westbrook has not played well and the defensive as a whole has been lackluster.
A lot of questions have also been surrounding LeBron James and his injuries. Will he be able to play and continue the season? Well, that should be an obvious answer but he has already had to miss several games due to a nagging injury that won’t seem to go away.
Frank Vogel has said that he is progressing nicely with his rehab.

“LeBron, his rehab is progressing nicely,” Vogel said. “He’s back to doing on-the-court basketball activity. This does not seem like it’s going to be an extended stretch. He’s to be considered truly day-to-day.”
LeBron has been a huge part of the Laker’s success this season. When he plays, the team is 4-2. They are 3-4 when he sits out. It is good to hear that the rehab is going nicely. He should be able to get back to the court soon which would be a huge confidence builder for the team going forward.
Anthony Davis talked about whether or not they can use LeBron’s absence as an excuse.
“We’ve still got to play basketball,” Davis said of James’ absence. “He’s a big key to our team, but we’ve still got to play. I don’t know how long he’s going to be out, but we’ve still got to find ways to win basketball games.”
“We can’t control (LeBron) playing or not, but what we can control is going out there and winning basketball games,” Davis said. “With the guys that we have, we have enough pieces to still win basketball games, even though he brings a huge part to both ends of the floor of what we do.
“It’s an adjustment period of trying to figure out new schemes and stuff like that without him, for however long he’s out,” Davis continued. “But like I said, we still have enough pieces to win basketball games.”
