The team listed thirteen players as questionable for the game, but we don’t have a reason to be worried at this point. The Panthers have a big issue on the table but they have Sam Darnold back in the fold. Christian McCaffrey is stepping in and the team has provided an update on his situation.

Carolina added a nice pop to the backfield right after their best rushing game in the regular season. They activated McCaffrey and he will be eligible for the game against New England.

Carolina Panthers discuss Christian McCaffrey and provide an update

The Panthers would love to see McCaffrey on the field in tomorrow’s game. The running back joined the team for practice this week. McCaffrey has been sidelined due to his hamstring injury. He suffered the injury in the Week 3 game against the Houston Rockets. The Panthers hoped to have McCaffrey this week. Without the talented player, the team ran 47 times for 203 yards at Atlanta. He is averaging 3.9 yards per carry with one rushing TD, while providing 16 receptions for 163 yards.

Carolina listed McCaffrey on the injured report due to his shoulder issue. He was listed as questionable and this will definitely be a game-time decision. If McCaffrey doesn’t start the game, Carolina will have P.J. Walker as a replacement.

The Panthers have Myles Hartsfield to the active roster at the moment. He sustained a wrist injury in the opener, and he has a chance to return from injured reserve. Hartsfield was the starting player in the opening game against the New York Jets. Now Carolina has 53 players on the active roster.

There’s more. The Panthers promoted a couple of practice unit players. They will probably use punter Lachlan Edwards and wide receiver Willie Snead on Sunday. Edwards was elevated last week, too.

Both teams will try to get the best ahead of the game. Head coach Bill Belichick and his players won’t give up without a fight. They are winners.
