LeBron James Challenged by Lakers Reporter, Says He’s ‘Disgusted’ by Losses

The Los Angeles Lakers entered the 2021-22 NBA season as favorites to win the title. However, things didn’t go the way everyone planned. Players sustained injuries, making things even more difficult for head coach Frank Vogel and his assistants. LeBron James discussed about this following the latest loss to the Sacramento Kings, and he was obviously challenged by a reporter.

The four-time NBA champion is far from happy with his current performance. He had high expectations from this season, but missed a few games due to his injuries. That’s not all. LeBron got into an altercation with Isaiah Stewart and earned a one-game suspension. As if this wasn’t enough, he was also heckled by a couple of Indiana Pacers fans. The NSFW celebration? The NBA gave him a $15,000 fine. These troubles keep coming, huh?

LeBron James offered detailed explanation after being challenged by the reporter

Dan Woike from L.A. Times had a question for LeBron. “Is the calm really there or is that you guys just putting on a happy face about the issues?”

King James and his teammates “are all disgusted at losses.” You read it right.

“Listen,” the Lakers superstar said, “we’re all disgusted at losses. That’s the way it is.”

Things should get better for the Lakers. LeBron is back now, and injured players are expected to return at some point of the regular season.

“We’re also, at the same time, going to stay even-keeled about the whole process and understand that we can get better from our losses and we can get better from our wins. It’s not like we wanted to be .500 a fourth into the season but, you know, we got a lot more room to improve. We haven’t been full to start the season. Obviously, I haven’t played many games, guys have been in and out of the lineup, we still have two of our guys who haven’t played at all yet, in TA and K-Nunn.

“Make no mistake, we still gotta play Laker basketball, we still gotta defend at a high level, we gotta share the ball, not turn the ball over, obviously tonight, horrible turnovers on my part. I feel like I played a horrible game individually, and I hold myself to a higher standard than that.”

There’s still room for improvement. It’s a long season after all…
