LeBron James Gets Encouraging Timeline for Return

LeBron James has gotten an encouraging timeline for his return to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. It is clear that right now, the Lakers need LeBron James to win basketball games. This should not really be the case, as his teammate Anthony Davis made very clear.

“We’ve still got to play basketball,” Davis said of James’ absence. “He’s a big key to our team, but we’ve still got to play. I don’t know how long he’s going to be out, but we’ve still got to find ways to win basketball games.”

“It ain’t come down to LeBron not being here. We let this one go again. And we shouldn’t have lost this one,” Anthony said.

“We can’t control (LeBron) playing or not, but what we can control is going out there and winning basketball games,” Davis said. “With the guys that we have, we have enough pieces to still win basketball games, even though he brings a huge part to both ends of the floor of what we do.

LeBron James Gets Encouraging Timeline for Return

But LeBron has gotten an encouraging timeline on his return. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst talked about this recently.

“Yeah, this is not a severe injury. LeBron is rehabbing this, and from what I am told, the rehab is going well. He may have to do some reconditioning a little bit, but this is not going to keep him out an extended period. He definitely has shown his age with some of these muscle injuries, there’s no doubt about that,” Windhorst said on Wednesday. “This is not something that is going to dramatically impact his ability. And it’s coming at a portion of the schedule with the Lakers where it’s not that difficult. They haven’t done great, I agree, but this is a time where if you’re going to nurse an injury, this is that time of the season, and that’s what LeBron is doing.”

Here is the Lakers current injury report going into their next game:

Hopefully the Lakers can get healthy as they definitely need to get some wins on the board.
