LeBron James Gets Status Update For Celtics Showdown

LeBron James has gotten a status update for the Boston Celtics and Laker showdown coming up. The Lakers are a bad team right now. They have struggled to get started this season and it is turning into a bit of an embarassment. Right now, they are not even a playoff team, let alone a team that could make it to the Finals. But there is still plenty of time in the NBA season for the Lakers to prove themselves as a great team.

A lot of that will depend on whether or not LeBron James will be able to come back soon. He has been out for several games with a lingering injury that just doesn’t seem to go away. His teammates have made it clear that there is no excuse for their play, including missing one of their best players. But it still is difficult when you are missing your leader. But the Lakers have lost to several very bad teams and that just can’t happen when you are supposed to be a good team.

However, it sounds like the Lakers might have their leader back for the game against the Boston Celtics tonight. That could be a huge decision but nothing is set yet.

Frank Vogel is trying to stay optimistic.

“There’s no better motivator than a bad loss,” said Vogel.

“I think our guys are angry. Our coaching staff is angry. We’ll get back to work and do whatever we need to do to fix it, get our execution better.”

Well, that is one way to look at it. He also talked about the lack of teams that his team got, especially Anthony Davis.

“I think Anthony Davis getting zero free throw attempts is a little bit mind-boggling,” Vogel said. “And it’s something we’ve been communicating to the league about.”

It is true but at the same time, the Lakers have been a very bad team. Only time will tell if they will be able to get back on track. LeBron joining should be a good start.
