NFL Analysts Makes Eye-Opening Justin Fields Patriots Statement

The New England Patriots had a chance to grab a great quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft. Truth is, they got the best out there. Rookie Mac Jones is having a spectacular season as a Patriots running back. This takes us to Justin Fields and his chances to join the Patriots.

The Chicago Bears traded up to get the rookie. Some say he would have had a better season as a Patriots quarterback. Well, it didn’t happen. The Patriots are fine with Jones and the Alabama prospect has the attention of pretty player on the Patriots roster.

Justin Fields would have been better with Patriots

NFL analysts discussed Justin’s situation in his current team and made some calculations with other rookies.

“If Justin Fields was playing in an offense that was catered to what he does best and not everything he doesn’t do well, I think he’d be having a much better season. I think Trevor Lawrence, if you put him on a team with more weapons and just an overall a better head coach, better overall staff, I think he’s having a better year. I don’t think anybody knows about what Trey Lance is doing, because Kyle Shanahan doesn’t really know what he’s doing. So I think that yes, Mac Jones is having the best rookie season of all the quarterbacks. I really think it’s ridiculous not to consider the situations and how different each one is, if you just wanna hold up their stats next to each other… Yes, he’s having a better year, but situations matter and systems matter.”

There are also people who say that if the Patriots selected Fields, “they would be undefeated right now.” Is that even true? The team has a 7-4 record at this point of the regular season.

Head coach Bill Belichick watched the quarterback competition this summer. Jones beat Cam Newton in the competition and got the starting job. He is the perfect fit for Josh McDaniels’ offense. Newton was a mobile quarterback but he had his struggles on the field. Jones did much better than him this summer.
