Patriots’ Mac Jones Unfazed By New England Weather: ‘It’s Just A Mindset’

Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones will have to spend more time in New England to adjust to the bad weather. Yes, the Florida boy has to win games in freezing temperatures. He is doing an excellent job by the way. The New England Patriots have a six-game winning streak. Bill Belichick’s first rounder still faces some obstacles but he looks good on the field.

The Patriots are coming off of a good win over the Tennessee Titans. Belichick has Jones by his side and that’s the only thing that matters. The rookie is a perfect fit for the Patriots offense and he will only get better in time. Jones is ready for whatever challenge New England has for him, including the bad weather.

Mac Jones is fine with New England weather

That was the case in Sunday’s game. The Patriots hit the field and managed to win the game in 37 degrees Fahrenheit. Guess what… Jones didn’t have any gloves on during warmups.

“We practice in similar conditions and it will continue to get colder,” Jones said. “I love that we get to practice outside and then that will happen a lot more and it will be a lot colder.”

The rookie finished the night completing 23 of 32 passes for 310 yards and a couple of touchdowns and no interceptions. His 123.2 passer rating is the second-highest in his NFL career.

Winning games is a priority right now and Jones is fine with the weather.

“The practice helps and that was not as bad as it’s going to be obviously and it’s a mindset thing and Coach Belichick always tells us to get what you need on and be prepared and then don’t complain about it because it is what it is. It’s just a mindset. Obviously it will get worse and we’ll continue to figure it out and work through it.”

Remember Jones’ words whenever you feel cold. It’s a mindset, remember?

Jones is working on his skills and Patriots fans would love to see more of this. The guy is a winner.
