Patriots’ Trent Brown Shares Terrifying Medical Story

The New England Patriots beat the Cleveland Browns, but one player will remember Cleveland for another reason. Patriots offensive lineman Trent Brown shared a horrifying medical story that took place in 2020.

Brown was part of the Las Vegas Raiders at that point and his team was playing against Cleveland. The Patriots veteran was doing his pre-game routine and also got his IV. What happened next? An air bubble almost killed him. The veteran passed out and ended up in a hospital. Brown will always remember the terrible experience and the days he spent in the hospital in Cleveland.

“To pass out and almost go into cardiac arrest was crazy,” Brown said. “I almost died, so it was scary. I was in Cleveland by myself in the hospital for a few days.”

Trent Brown will always remember his medical story

Brown felt really bad and he started thinking of all the things he did and didn’t do in his life. He was thinking about his family and the game. Yes, it was messy and stressful.

“I definitely thought about my kids. I even thought about retirement. It was that scary,” Brown said. “I was about to be done with it.”

The veteran missed a lot of time, but he knew that his body needed to recover. It was a wild ride but he had to stay calm and give himself enough time. Here he is today, ready to win again.

“To actually fully recover, it probably took about eight months to feel normal again,” Brown said. “To actually start making steps as far as improvement to feel like myself again on the field.”

Brown recovered from a calf injury on Sunday afternoon, and he helped his team beat the Browns. It’s been a little over a year since Brown had his near-death experience and he felt like talking about the terrible incident. It’s all part of the past now. Brown is off to some great things. Winning a championship maybe? There are so many things he can do right now. He probably has a bucket list.
