Robert Horry Puts Lakers on Blast After Awful Loss to Kings

The Los Angeles Lakers lost the game to the Sacramento Kings after taking it into overtime. Three times. It was a tough battle but Lakers players blew a double-digit lead. NBA legend Robert Horry put the Lakers on a blast. I guess Skip Bayless is somewhere celebrating.

“I watch the game, and as soon as they get a lead, they start smiling and having all these antics not realizing the other team is watching you. And that’s fueling their fire. I know that’s what this game has turned into. Everybody wants to throw antics up when they make a 3-pointer, they’re so happy they finally make a shot, but to me, you laughing and smiling –that right there is not professional. If the Lakers wanna be a championship team, you gotta come up with the grit and the grind, no smiling and just beat someone down. They’ve only won one game this year by 10 points, at Houston, and Houston is the worst team in the NBA.”

LeBron finished the night with 30 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds. However, he was disappointed by his own performance. LeBron has high standards and this game didn’t really match those. The four-time NBA champion promised to do better for the Lakers and help them make the playoffs this time.

Many would say that LeBron didn’t cause the mess. The Lakers had a 13-point lead with 10:02 remaining in the final quarter of the night. Kings players were motivated to win and that’s exactly what they did. They went up by five with 2:26 left of the game. Lakers players didn’t give up without a fight though. Malik Monk pulled out a three and LeBron surprised the Kings with a layup. Yes, the Lakers had a chance to win this game, but LeBron’s 3-point shot at the buzzer was off.

Lakers players weren’t too happy with this performance and they will try to do better in the upcoming game. Frank Vogel may consider changing his gameplan. What about changing the starting lineup?
