Tedy Bruschi Boldly Urges Bill Belichick to Break a Promise He Made to Himself Years Ago That Would Completely Alter NFL History

Tedy Bruschi has urged head coach Bill Belichick to break a promise that he made to himself that would change NFL history. The Patriots have been looking very impressive over the past 6 weeks or so. Since losing in overtime to the Dallas Cowboys, they have not lost a game. This is a big difference from what we saw at the beginning of the season in which it looked like there wasn’t much going for them.

As it turns out, the Patriots coach always said that he would not coach as long as Mark Levy. Well, he had better retire fast as that is only 3 years about. Ted Bruschi urged the coach to keep that promise to himself.

“Bill always said he wasn’t going to coach as long as Mark Levy. Marv Levy coached until he was 72. Bill is 69. You got Mac Jones, Bill. Go for it!” he tweeted.

Mark Levy still holds the NFL record for being the oldest coach to ever coach in NFL history.

Bill Belichick has done a very good coaching job so far this season. He recently talked about the team’s chemistry right now and how it is working going further into the season.

“The relationship with the players is always a very special one. It’s not something, as a coach, that you can orchestrate. I think it just has to happen. Hopefully, you put players together that will be able to form those kinds of relationships, trust, camaraderie, and all those things, but it’s not anything you can legislate. It just kind of has to happen.”

“I’m glad it’s happening, and I’m glad they do have that feeling because I do think there’s a chemistry that goes with communication, anticipation, knowing what the other guy’s doing and him knowing what you’re doing and being able to play aggressively with all that. It’s a good thing. I’m glad they feel that way, and I’m glad that’s developing. It takes time. It takes some success. It’s not something you can talk about, and it magically happens. You need to back it up with some results that reinforce what you’re doing, what they’re feeling.”
