These Patriots Got Game Balls During Bill Belichick Locker Room Speech

The New England Patriots beat the Los Angeles Chargers. This was another excellent performance for the Patriots. Beating the Chargers was a big bite, but they did it. Head coach Bill Belichick was definitely proud of his players. Remember when he went to the sideline following the win over the New York Jets just to shake the hands of his players? Well, this time the Patriots head coach was handing out game balls in the locker room.

Two Patriots players got game balls, including Adrian Phillips and Hunter Henry. The “ceremony” took place during Belichick’s postgame speech in the locker room.

Patriots locker room was on fire

This game was really important for Phillips. He had to face the team he used to play for. Most players are all-in when it comes to winning, regardless of their opponent. If you ask the former Chargers safety, he will say it felt really special to deliver a good performance against LA. He hit two interceptions and returned one for a touchdown in the fourth quarter of the 27-14 win.

Phillips spent the first six seasons with the Chargers. He knows that the Patriots played against an excellent opponent. The safety enjoyed the game and he got the best of this opportunity.

Head coach Belichick said Phillips’ interceptions were “big differences in the game.” Phillips is an excellent player and he helped his team win three of the last four games. Let’s not forget that the Patriots had a 1-3 start to the 2021 regular season.

When it comes to Henry, he was brilliant too. Of course, his brilliance came to shine at the end of the game. The veteran tight end field the ball on the Chargers’ onside kick attempt. The cherry on top, huh?

Belichick and his players are getting ready for another big game. They will try to continue the winning streak with a big win over the Carolina Panthers. Patriots players are really motivated right now and truth is, they really have a chance to make the Super Bowl this season. Will they meet Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the top?
