The Los Angeles Lakers put an end to their losing streak. The team beat the Houston Rockets and it was a wonderful 132-123 win. Let’s just say that everyone contributed to the final outcome. Lakers players were big and loud. Tuesday night was a big night for the purple and gold. Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James will definitely remember the night.

King James finished the night with a triple-double and hit 32 points. Melo jumped off the bench and delivered 24 points while shooting 9-of-15 from the field.

In the fourth quarter of the game, the four-time NBA champion decided to go for a layup as usual. It was a bad miss but many thought it would create a good alley-oop for Melo. So, what happened during this part of the game?

Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James have history together

Melo and LeBron know each other really well. They entered the NBA at the same time but Melo wasn’t as lucky as the kid from Akron. LeBron became a star right away. Oh wait. He was already a star in high school. Let’s not forget that LeBron earned his first cover before even winning his first ring. Everyone was talking about him. Here we are today. LeBron is on his way to win his fifth ring. Melo has yet to win a ring in his long NBA career.

Melo made a few stops in the NBA, struggling to find a home. He had a chance to play again and LA really liked his potential. LeBron was trying to get Melo on his roster from the very first moment he joined the Lakers. The front office didn’t want Melo. Things took a better turn and the NBA veteran was given another chance. He is finally a Laker.

The Lakers have some struggles on the floor. They lost players to COVID and injuries. Hopefully, things will get better in the near future. LA needs to win a title this time.
