DeAndre Jordan Has Honest Assessment Of Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated a rebuilding Oklahoma City Thunder team, taking their regular season record to 14-13. It was a good win for the team. Let’s not forget that players were without Anthony Davis. The big man sat out the game due to a sore knee. LeBron James took the Lakers to a win and it was all good. DeAndre Jordan didn’t play much in the blowout, but he did make an assessment following the game.

The Lakers entered the regular season as contenders and things changed overnight. Injuries plagued the roster, leaving Frank Vogel without some of his key players. This includes LeBron, too.

How do Lakers players feel about the current situation? Are they frustrated? Motivated? It’s a long season after all. The best players will win the best award. The ultimate award.

DeAndre Jordan is honest

Vogel’s team faced a big challenge early in the season, but things seem to be falling in place. Jordan talked about the current situation in LA and made everything a bit clearer for everyone.

“We play the score, and not the game,” Jordan told reporters. “There’s teams we should have beaten that we didn’t beat. There’s teams we could’ve beaten that we didn’t beat.”

Injuries and suspensions won’t stop players. Vogel is really confident at this point. Players have to build strong chemistry and ignore outside noise.

“It’s not about who’s going, it’s about the ball finding the open man,” Vogel said, via ESPN. “Everybody out there can score, and I try to try to give a message that … it’s going to come down to everyone trusting each other and not worrying about who’s performing at a high level on a given night.”

He is in the hot seat after all. Some fans want Frank Vogel to be fired. Seeing him go doesn’t make sense at this point. Jeanie Buss wants to see the entire team on the floor before she makes a decision. If LA continues losing games, the front office will consider making some changes, even if it involves Vogel’s firing.
