Frustrated LeBron James Drops a Dose of Reality for the Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t won a game in a while. Fans are a bit frustrated. I guess no one likes to watch their favorite team lose games. Frustrated players can’t hide their disappointment, and LeBron James has a message for his teammates.

Anthony Davis is out and several players are still on the COVID list. The situation is a bit messy. LA entered the season as favorite to win the championship this season. Well, things went down the hill really fast.

Frustrated LeBron James motivates players

LeBron is doing his best, but some of his teammates have to elevate their game.

“Well, I’m not a very patient person, obviously,” LeBron said. “Under the circumstances, obviously, without our head coach. Tonight, we finally got a couple of our key guys back, but we’re still missing a few. You just try to stay even keel. Obviously, this losing streak isn’t something that none of us want, but nobody is going to feel sorry for you.

“Nobody’s going to feel sorry for our record. … Everybody besides I think Golden State [Warriors] and Phoenix [Suns]. Everybody has guys out. When you get your opportunity, when you get your number called, just make the most of it and go out and play. Play our system. It’s even challenging for some of the new guys because they haven’t been in the system long enough exactly when we want to execute, but tonight they just played hard. DC came in and played extremely hard.”

LeBron didn’t criticize his teammates. He didn’t even criticize Russell Westbrook for his poor shooting.

The Lakers have enough room for improvement. It’s too early to make a prediction. Players will return to the floor and Jeanie Buss will have enough time to make the right decision. Will she get rid of Frank Vogel in the offseason? The team looked really well with Vogel at the sideline. He entered COVID protocols and David Fizdale stepped in as a replacement. The Lakers lost too many games with him as a head coach.

What’s next on the list? Will Lakers players finish the season with a good record?
