Isaiah Thomas Shares Strong Reaction to Not Getting New Lakers Contract

Isaiah Thomas didn’t get another contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. The team decided to bring him to the floor. They offered him a 10-day deal. Thomas was great in his first game with the team, but he saw some struggles in his next appearance.

Thomas didn’t get another chance and he took to his Instagram to share his thoughts about the decision Rob Pelinka made.
As you may be guessing, he is more than grateful.

The NBA veteran saw action in four games with the Lakers, averaging 9.3 points per game. Thomas didn’t win a game with the Lakers as they lost five straight games.

Isaiah Thomas leaves the Lakers, may get a deal somewhere else

It was easy for us to predict a good future for Thomas. He is a former All-Star, remember? Unfortunately, he sustained injuries and had hard time finding a home in the NBA.

Will Thomas find his next team this season? Absolutely. The NBA is dealing with a surge in new cases and teams are in desperate need of someone who can play the ball. Thomas has a chance to get a deal somewhere else. It won’t be a big contract though.

The Lakers got a few new players but they are still losing games. Head coach Frank Vogel is out due to COVID and David Fizdale has to work with the team.

“When you lose five in a row, it’s misery,” Fizdale said. “You’re not happy. But there’s two types of ways you can respond to this. Right? And that’s the only thing we can control, is our response to a five-game losing streak. We can either bitch, moan, complain, point fingers, deflect, or we can get in the gym and work together and get in the film sessions and have raw conversations and talk about what we need to do to get better and improve.”

Lakers players should use these losses as a motivation. Anthony Davis will be out for a month. His return should make things easier for everyone. LeBron and Russell Westbrook are still here.
