LeBron James Sobering Comments When Asked if He’s Thought About Retiring

LeBron James has been around for 19 years and many would say that he doesn’t even think of retiring. The four-time NBA champion has so much to offer and his game is elite. The Los Angeles Lakers have some struggles at the moment, but LeBron is fine with it. He knows that good things take more time.

Skip Bayless and other doubters believe that LeBron should call it career. Well, LeBron has a message for him and pretty much any hater out there.

“I know I’m on the other side of the hill, compared to the hill I was on before. I know that. But, I mean, I’ve thought about it – where I’m at with it, I haven’t given it too much thought. But I’m in Year 19 and I’m not gonna do another 19. So I’m definitely not halfway in my career. I’m on the other side of the hill. So, we’ll see where the game takes me. We’ll see where my body takes me and my mind. As long as my mind stays fresh and my body stays with that, I can play the game. But, in the end, the game will tell you. Your body will tell you. I’ve put enough hours and punched enough clocks where, when that time comes, I’ll be OK with it.”

LeBron missed 8+ games due to his injury and also earned a suspension for the altercation with Isaiah Stewart. The king of basketball also missed a game after testing positive for COVID-19. It was a big misunderstanding and LeBron cleared protocols right away. He provided two negative tests and returned to the floor.

Lakers players look good when LeBron is taking the lead. Anthony Davis is out and LeBron has to carry the team on his back. He receives some help from Russell Westbrook but he really needs the entire roster to be 100% healthy.

Doubters can talk as much as they want, but LeBron is the greatest basketball player of all time. He has incredible basketball intelligence and great photographic memory. His numbers do all the talking.
