Michelle Beadle Addresses on Drama With LeBron James

Michelle Beadle is not done talking LeBron James. The ESPN host appeared on the House of Strauss podcast hosted by Ethan Strauss to talk about it. According to Beadle, LeBron tried to get her fired from her position as host of NBA Countdown.

“To find out … I was just like ‘hey, what a weird person to have any input on your life,’” Beadle said. “He had a person at the network who he wanted. Wanted her to be the host of [NBA Countdown]. He does not like me, and I honestly have stopped trying to figure out why. For some reason, it goes back years. I’ve been around Maverick Carter. He refuses to shake my hand.”

Beadle’s saga with LeBron started a few years ago when she hosted the NAB’s pregame show. She claimed that the tension between her and LeBron probably stems from her mocking The Decision special in 2010. LeBron announced his decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and join the Miami Heat.

Michelle Beadle won’t continue the LeBron James saga

The host doesn’t mind LeBron trying to get her fired. She paid special attention to the way everyone reacted to this. Beadle enjoyed full support from her superiors and really appreciated their loyalty.

“What I do care about is how my bosses respond, because that really at the end of the day is where any loyalty should have been…,” Beadle said. “It is what it is. He didn’t get me fired, so I do take solace in that. And the person he wanted didn’t get the job, so at the end of the day, we all win.”

Beadle is part of The Athletic, but she will probably stay away from LeBron in the near future. She is doing her job and LeBron is busy with his current team. The four-time NBA champion is on his fourth season with the Lakers. He lost valuable time due to an injury and was also suspended. That’s not all. LeBron also entered the NBA’s health and safety protocol. The Lakers lost a lot of games in his absence and have a 12-12 record at the moment.
