Patriots Add Mac Jones To Injury Report Ahead Of Week 15 Colts Matchup

Should fans be concerned right now? The New England Patriots have added rookie quarterback Mac Jones to their injury report? The first-rounder was a late addition to Tuesday’s report.

According to the Patriots, Jones was a full participant during the non-padded practice. Jones’ addition was the first time he has been listed on an injury report so far in the regular season.

Mac Jones won’t spend too much time on the injury report

Jones is dealing with thumb issues. We don’t know when he hurt his thumb. Was it during practice? Maybe it happened during the bye week or during the win over the Buffalo Bills. In the 14-10 win over the Bills, Jones attempted just three passes due to the bad weather. The Patriots will update Jones’ status during Wednesday’s padded practice.

The rookie completed 70.3% of his passes for 2,869 yards, 16 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in his first year as a Patriot. Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham are backups for Jones. The latter is a healthy scratch at the moment.

New England plays against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday. Nine players were listed as limited on the first report. Running back Damien Harris and safety Adrian Phillips joined the team for practice, but not as full participants. Both players left the win over the Bills due to injuries and their statuses were pretty unclear. They practiced Tuesday and we have a few good reasons to believe that these two will play against the Colts.

The Colts have just three players on the injury report.

Offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste was out due to an illness. Tackle Trent Brown is treating his calf injury and his wrist ailment. He saw limited action on Tuesday.

The Patriots didn’t list safety Kyle Dugger on the injury report and he has returned from the COVID-19/reserve list.
