Patriots Announce Official Decision On RB Damien Harris

The New England Patriots will play against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15. They have four games left on the schedule and this one is not that tough. The final injury report is not that scary, but the team will be without a key player on Saturday. The Patriots made a decision on running back Damien Harris and his status for the game vs Colts.

Harris is dealing with a hamstrung injury. He had to leave the game against the Buffalo Bills and his status was unknown until today. In the game against the Bills, Harris had 111 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries. The talented running back was limited participant this week. According to the Patriots, Harris won’t travel with the team.

Patriots to make a decision while Damien Harris is out

Rhamondre Stevenson and Brandon Bolden are the only options for the Patriots right now. Head coach Bill Belichick and his assistants will have to make some changes. In other words, receiver Kendrick Bourne and tight end Jonnu Smith may see runs out of the backfield. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will have to play smart with his offense.

Bourne has 81 yards on seven carries and Smith has 28 yards on six carries. Harris leads the team with 754 yards and nine touchdowns on 164 carries. Stevenson has 429 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 4.3 yards per carry in his rookie campaign.

Colts players have challenged the Patriots ahead of the game. They brag about their performance and some of them even promised to shut down McDaniels’ offense. Will Indianapolis find a solution to Mac Jones’ talent? The first-rounder is a star. He helped the Patriots hit a 9-4 record. This says pretty much everything about the team. We have a few good reasons to believe that the Patriots won’t miss the chance to make the playoffs this season. In 2020, the Patriots struggled to win and that’s not the case this time.

Mike Reiss made a bold prediction about the upcoming game. He believes the Patriots will use comments made by Colts players as a motivation to win.
